One of my fave tracks of all times comes from the Last Poets. From the Delights of the Garden LP side 2 consists of three tracks Be-Yon-Der.... The song is a parable cum Sc -Fi story...
Set in the future the master race (known as the Jin) have developed technology to infinite levels-and in doing so have subjugated the masses-and become evil. God has watched, grown angry, and dispatched the Angel of Death-to cleanse the world. The Jin go into hiding deep underground but some of their number have decided to escape and face death. The Jin though have a secret Weapon an Android-of such power and destructive nature they keep it de activated until of course the Angel of Death threatens to come underground. So they release the Android Samatiken to the surface.
On meeting the Angel of Death the Android asks who he serves-and in a chilling and very telling reply is told....
Know all tool of fools-There is no Lord but one
He be gets nor is he begotten.
He creates and destroys at his whim-and there is none like unto him.
He to all souls reckon-He to all submit upon his beckon.
The Lord of the darkness the Lord of the Light.
